Type 2 Non standard is all pins in parallel granting full power at Supercharger. DC ONLY!Type 2 Mennekes is without 2 bottom pins. Making car able to charge from Type 2 socket as well, but DC charge will be limited 2 times slower.
After May 1, 2019, all Tesla Model S and Model X vehicles are technically capable of using a Type 2 adapter to charge at TPC charging stations. APPROPRIATE FOR TESLA 2019 AND UP MODELS, Including Tesla Model S and Model X Gen 1 Owners of earlier Model S and Model X will require a service adjustment to utilize the Tesla CCS-2 Quick Charge Adaptor through the adapter.
