Recently, owners have received the portable charging connector (UMC for short) from Tesla, which can be carried with the car, easy to install and with a wide range of interface applications, and can be used as an emergency charging solution for owners
Caution:
Whether charging in 1P or 3P format, it is important to protect your vehicle with an earth wire. An effective grounding of the power supply will protect your vehicle and your property, as well as protect you and others in the event of an accident such as a power leak;
When using the UMC, it is important to ensure that the environment is safe for use, e.g. by connecting to a circuit with an earth leakage protection switch and avoiding vandalism during use;
. When using the UMC for charging, try to keep it in a separate circuit and use a compliant earth leakage protected air switch. (Example: 1P choose 2 way 10A, 3P choose 4 way 20A model.)
If using a 3P for charging, ensure that the IEC red 3-phase socket used for connection is safe, robust and durable;
The installation of industrial sockets must be carried out by a qualified electrician;
The UMC is only suitable for emergency charging. For everyday charging it is recommended that you use a wall-mounted domestic charging connector.

Tesla UMC Charger General questions
1. The red light above the UMC flashes 4 times: the ground connection does not comply with the regulations, it is recommended to ask a professional electrician to test the grounding part of the power supply and socket, or to try replacing the power socket with another one;
2. Tripping after connecting and charging the vehicle: The loadable current of the air circuit breaker above the power supply is too low, please check the load in the circuit and adjust the specification of the air protection switch in the connected line according to the actual load;
3. Other cases: Please try to reset the UMC by pressing and holding the red reset button on the back of the UMC for 8 seconds. or call 4009100707 for Tesla technical support.
